Its been a while since I sat down, analysed a product, & wrote down a review about it. I know its not fair but yes I have been quite lazy and busy, so I can be excused... A usual Saturday afternoon and I was digging my vanity box and I found something that had been lying at the bottom of the bag , camouflaged with the bag , that I completely forgot about this product.
So this is the first time I was using this product and wanted to pen down my thoughts.
Now let us see if this eyeliner is really a worthy find..
MAKE UP FOR EVER AQUA LINER in BLACK Review
What the company claims :
Aqua Liner is a high precision, waterproof liquid eyeliner. Rich in pigments and polymers, its formula guarantees intense color and an outstanding waterproof result.The ergonomic applicator lets you easily apply an ultra precise line to create any eyeliner makeup look. Aqua Liner is available in a wide range of vibrant shades with matte, iridescent and diamond finishes. Easily remove with waterproof makeup remover. Fragrance free. Ophthalmologist tested. Do not apply on the inside of the eyes.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner Black Packaging & Quantity :
It comes in a sleek black plastic case where the applicator side is longer than the other side. Extremely light weight & small to carry it around easily. ( It was hiding in my bag for the last one year). The applicator is extremely light weight and the bristles are not very thin but they are of the ideal thickness with which we can create a thick or thin line. The quantity of product is 1.7 ml. The Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner words are inscribed on the plastic case. The packaging has impressed me a lot.
Shake the product well before every use & the consistency is just perfect, neither too runny nor too thick. I am pleasantly surprised that the product hasn't dried up since I did not even use it since I bought it. Once applied on the lids, it dries pretty quickly( about 30 to 40 seconds depending on the number of coats) which is quite impressive. I tried washing the swatches under water, but the liner did not smudge nor get washed away. I then rubbed it vigorously, even then it did not vanish completely.
Note : The product has a varnish kind of a smell when you open the container but it does not bother you much after application.
Price : I do not remember the exact cost, I bought this from Sephora in Dubai Mall for about 100 AED.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner pigmentation & staying power :
The eyeliner is decently pigmented and probably 2 coats can give a jet black effect and the finish is matte and not glossy. I am not a big fan of the pigmentation, it is just average.There are other products which deliver extreme pigmentation in one swipe too.
The staying power is about 7 to 8 hours without any peeling off or smudging which is really good.

- Pigmentation is only average
- Weird smell but doe snot bother once applied & dried.
- Quite expensive for an eyeliner
Overall I can rate it 3.5/5...
