Sleek i-divine CANDY Collection Limited Edition Mineral Based Palette
The first thing when I think of summer in Chennai is the scorching sun that makes you sweat like crazy & turn into a dark chocolate by the end of the season which lasts for 6 months?? Correct me if I am wrong, Chennaites.. But there is something good about it too.. I get nostalgic memories of my golden summer holidays when I was in school. My stay in my grandma's house for weeks together playing around with friends in her colony,evening stroll in Marina beach, drinking tender coconut and sugarcane juice, visiting beautiful temples, devouring the "vadu maanga" , and other varieties of mangoes, seasonal fruits like jackfruit,helping grandmom with her "vadams"(stealing them when she is asleep-you are not advised to have them raw), eating ice creams on the pretext of beating the heat & so on. Summers are pretty colorful here..

Packaging :
The Sleek i-divine palette comes in a matte black case with Sleek Makeup printed on the case.It has a mirror inside which is quite sturdy. There are totally 12 colors in the palette with a 2 sided sponge applicator. A plastic sheet with names of the colors printed is placed on the colors.
Somehow I feel the names could have been printed on the case beneath the colors because the sheet anyway will not be intact for long.
The sponge applicator is very flimsy and these days when makeup brushes are so much in demand , I am sure no one will use this applicator unless for your inner tear duct.

Shades & Pigmentation :
1 : Strawberry Sherbet : It is a matte bright bubble gum pink shade which is soft to tough and apply. The staying power of this shade is quite less, average pigmentation.
2 : Bon Bon : An onion peel kind of a color which has a lot of shimmer and can be used in the tear duct area for pink smokey eye look. Pigmentation is less.
3 : Parma Violet : My favorite eyeshadow from the palette after swatching though I first liked Aniseed from the look. Parma Violet is a matte brinjal violet shade which is heavily pigmented.
4 : Apple Sour : Very light mint kind of a color with frosty finish, average pigmentation.Can be layered on a smudged black khol for a night out..
5 : Pear Drop : A shimmery yellowish green shade that can work as a good highlight shade for the tear duct & inner part of the lowerlash line.
6 : Flump : A pastel kind of purple , matte eyeshadow. Well pigmented shade.

7 : Liquorice : A complete let down in terms of pigmentation. I expected a dark black outcome, but it is very light. Matte black eyeshadow with poor pigmentation.
8 : Blue Fizzle : A shimmery royal blue shade that is decently pigmented. Can be worn as an eyeliner too with wet brush for a glam look.
9 : Aniseed : A pink silver duochrome shade that reflects equal amounts of silver & pink and looks perfect as a single lid color. Decent pigmentation.
10 : Bubblegum : An awesomely smooth and pigmented matte copper sulphate blue shade. Can be worn as an eyeliner using a wet brush on top of a black khol.
11 : Mint Cream : A bright matte mint shade with good pigmentation.
12 : Cream Soda : A pearl kind of color that can be used to highlight browbone, tear duct and create an illusion of having big bright eyes..

The shades are very bright & colorful ideal for summer eyemakeup, but the staying power of the shades are less without a primer underneath. The shades are smooth & blend easily. One can mix colors of same family for a perfect smokey eye look. I am quite surprised with the matte shades in this palette, they are extremely well pigmented unlike other brands I have tried.
