Jurong Bird Park :
Entrance to Jurong Bird Park |
So after visiting the Singapore Zoo the previous day we
decided to visit the other famous attraction in Singapore – Jurong Bird Park.
Post a really hectic day this was a place to go enjoy nature and all birds at a
leisurely pace spending half a day.
We spent the first 1-2 hours walking around enjoying the
various attractions the park had to offer.
Tip : Use the mono rail in the park to shorten your walking times between attractions.
Here are some of the snaps from the park.

Shows we watched :
High Flyers Show
: High Flyer show is performed twice
a day at the pools amphitheatre. It really an amazing performance and you get
to the watch the amazing talents of a large no. of birds. Our favorite moment was
when the parrots came on stage. The finale is really the best as you are
flocked by 100’s of birds as they take centre stage. Easily the best show in
Jurong Bird Park.

Kings of the Skies
Show : As the name suggests you are
really treated to a spectacle by the falcons , the eagles and finally the
vultures as you witness the excellent hunting prowess. It was really amazing to
see the efforts that must have gone into training these birds of prey to
perform so well.. Kudos to the trainers..
So after spending nearly half a day at Jurong bird park we
headed back to our hotel for some shopping and were heading back to the Marina
Bay area for dinner.
Marina Bay Sands at the top :
On our visit to the Marina Bay area on our first day we did
not have enough time to go the top of Marina Bay Sands or the casino. Since this was such a highly recommended
thing to do we did not want to miss it and hence went back again to enjoy the
views of Singapore from the top of Marina Bay Sands followed by a dinner at the
famous Clarke Quay.
Marina bay Sands Singapore is indeed an architectural
marvel and one of the icons of
Singapore. Be it the roof top infinity pool, beautiful sky deck
for panaromic views of Singapore , casino or luxury everywhere Marina Bay Sands
is something that cannot be missed
during your visit.

Going to the top :
Tip : Before going to
the top if possible just spend a min outside the entrance and look up at the
Marina Bay. You really wont be disappointed with the view and will marvel at
this unique structure.
The experience to the top starts right from the base as you
wait in lines to board the lift that whisks you away quickly in seconds to the
top. Your photos are taken at the entrance and snaps ( with the Marina Bay sands and Singapore skyline superimposed ) are
available to be purchased at the top . Though a little pricey definitely worth
it.

Marina Bay Sands at the top is divided into two areas :
1.
Large infinity swimming pool ( entrance only for
hotel guests )
2.
Viewing platform for panoramic vews.
We spent close to 30-45 mins at the top admiring the
beautiful skyline of Singapore and enjoying the views. Some clicks from the
top.
Tip : Singapore Flyer
can be seen in the distance and if you go to the top of Marina bay Sands it is
not necessary to do the flyer as it is almost the same experience.

Dinner at Clarke Quay
Post the Marina bay Sands we were looking for a place to eat
along the There are large number
of restaurants vying for your attention and we had dinner at a place which
served good Indian food ( do not remember the name ). Though due to the number
of tourists the prices are a little steep it is a must do in Singapore.
So after a real good dinner
we went back to our hotel and
could not wait for day 5 as we were heading back to Sentosa for a day full of
fun.
