One such realization happened to me when I attended the session on detox ,organized by Kama Ayurveda in their outlet in Phoenix Marketcity, Chennai. Yes, I was in Chennai for a week and luckily I happened to attend this event.

Dr. Ashish from Kama Ayurveda spoke on the basics of Ayurveda and the need for a detox diet to clean our body from the inside. He also emphasized the importance of clean eating for a good glowing skin. Using external products alone will not ensure good skin and it is mandatory to eat right for a good skin.
Some of the tips he gave were :
1 : Drink Amla Juice the first thing in the morning.
2 : Cinnamon is a great food for detox.
3 : Drink atleast 3 litres of water everyday.
4 : Avoid raw salads in countries like India since it generates more heat in the body.
5 : Reduce the intake of caffeine.

Homemade Face scrub Preparation :
Oats : 2 tbps
Honey : 2 tbps
Chamomile Tea Extract : 1 tbps
Almond Oil : 2 tbps
Rose Water : few drops
Lemon : Half a slice
Mix all the ingredients together except Lemon and make a creamy scrub mixture. Squeeze few drops of lemon juice in the end. Store it in the refrigerator for it to remain fresh for about a week.
